Domaine Testut, Chablis Vieilles Vignes 2021

Flag of France

Domaine Testut was established in 1967 by Philippe Testut, and was taken over by his son and current custodian, Cyril Testut, in 1998. The estate now spans 13 hectares through the historic heartland of Chablis, the same sites which were originally farmed by Cistercian monks. The vineyards lie on some of the finest Kimmeridgian limestone soils the region has to offer, and the average age of the vines is 60 years old, enabling Domaine Testut to make some truly amazing wines. Chablis Vieilles Vignes 2021 is made from 100% Chardonnay predominantly taken from the Grand Cru Blanchot vineyard. A gorgeously elegant wine with a lot of that classic Chablis minerality on the nose along with hints of white blossom, green apples, peach and citrus. The medium-bodied palate is well-balanced by a good level of acidity which carries the long limestone-minerally finish.
